<p dir="ltr">As a Full Stack QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our mobile applications and the underlying microservices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and implement testing strategies across multiple platforms, ensuring that we continue to deliver a top-tier experience to our users.</p><p>This role requires the ability to <strong>handle heavy context switching</strong>, as each sprint may involve working on different combinations of backend and frontend QA tasks. Flexibility and adaptability are key.</p><p><strong>What you can expect to be doing:</strong></p><ul><li>Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for Android and iOS applications using Espresso and XCUITest.</li><li>Handle context switching between frontend and backend QA tasks as needed, adapting to changing priorities and sprint requirements.</li><li>Develop and maintain automated tests for backend microservices, ensuring scalability and reliability.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to understand requirements, identify risks, and provide testing feedback early in the development process.</li><li>Implement and maintain QA processes, ensuring best practices in version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.</li><li>Monitor and analyse test results, providing detailed reports on bugs, issues, and opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Lead efforts to ensure high test coverage and reduce manual testing by increasing automation, aiming for quality-first delivery.</li><li>Participate actively in planning sessions, bringing a QA perspective to user story definition and ensuring test effort is considered.</li><li>Build and maintain performance testing scenarios using K6 or a similar framework.</li><li>Stay up-to-date with and share knowledge of the latest test automation tools, technologies, and best practices.</li></ul><p><strong>What we’re looking for:</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years of hands-on experience in QA, testing, and automation</li><li>Proven experience in full-stack QA automation, particularly for mobile applications (Android/iOS) and backend microservices.</li><li>Strong proficiency in TypeScript for backend testing automation.</li><li>Experience with performance testing tools like K6 (or similar frameworks).</li><li>Hands-on experience with Espresso for Android and XCUITest for iOS automation.</li><li>Ability to effectively manage context switching between backend and frontend QA tasks.</li><li>Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab and Bitrise), version control, and DevOps practices.</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.</li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li></ul><p dir="ltr"><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in fintech or financial services.</li><li>Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).</li><li>Knowledge of container management and infrastructure as code (IAC) solutions like Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform.</li><li>Strong understanding of mocking test dependencies and environments.</li></ul><ul></ul><p><strong>What we’re really looking for:</strong> ✍️</p><p>Someone with a genuine interest in Chip and is excited about being part of a fast-growing company and our mission to build the investment super app of the future.</p><p>Although we’re in the financial space, and under the scrutiny that comes with it, the current engineering team works well together, and even sometimes with a smile.
