Qualifications:
Experience - 6+ years progress responsibility for portfolio management Experience in managed healthcare or insurance operations Competencies, Skills, and Attributes: Proven ability to collaborate and build credibility with individuals at all levels of the organization, including Executive management Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills Demonstrated success managing complex projects and developing project artifacts such as Project Charters, and Business Case documents, Working knowledge of MS tools, including MS Office products (Project, Visio). Must be able to utilize analytic skills to conceptualize and envision the impact of change, and propose new ways to do business. Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills with an ability to lead others in a cross-functional organization. Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and problem-solve. Working Conditions and Physical Effort: Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the position. Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing and evaluating the project portfolio against current business priorities and ensure transparency into portfolio performance. Responsible for managing the process to identify, evaluate and recommend projects for implementation. Manage the BMCHP project portfolio in collaboration with stakeholders for the purpose of continuously reviewing, updating, and optimizing the portfolio and ensuring alignment with changing organizational strategies, goals and objectives. Key Functions/Responsibilities: Facilitate the identification, prioritization, selection and approval of projects Identify and track corporate or department level projects which impact the portfolio Work with senior leaders to ensure that prioritization is in-line with business needs and available resource capacity Evaluate and assess risk as part of the lifecycle analysis of portfolio components Analyze the impact to the existing portfolio when new projects surface, and work with stakeholders to minimize the impact on existing priorities Monitor resource constraints affecting the completion of projects in the portfolio Work with business, functional, and project managers to identify project interrelationships that will affect portfolio priority and resource allocation decisions Develop and implement standard processes for tracking, coordinating and communicating portfolio related activities to decision makers and key stakeholders across the organization Recommend the criteria against which projects are prioritized to ensure alignment with business strategy Provides reporting and analysis on portfolio health and performance to senior leaders Prepare and distribute project portfolio information, including dashboards, to stakeholders Maintain the portfolio documentation and coordinate Project Screening Group and Project Governance Committee meetings Facilitate fiscal year project planning and annual project budgeting process and monitors project cost tracking for the portfolio Work with the company's finance organization to quantify project benefits in a way that will enable objective evaluation of projects against company objectives and thereby aid project approval decision-making Supervision Exercised: None Supervision Received: Indirect supervision is received weekly.
