POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales Engineering/Specialist will support the sales team by streamlining operations, providing technical expertise, and developing compelling proposals. This role bridges the gap between sales strategy, technical solutions, operations and client-facing documentation to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales Strategy Support: Assist in the development and execution of sales strategies to meet organizational goals.
- Client Consultations: Work closely with clients to understand their technical requirements and provide expert advice on product capabilities and integration. Data Analysis: Analyze sales data to identify trends, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
- Proposal Development: Lead the creation of detailed and persuasive proposals, including responses to RFPs (Request for Proposals).
- Content Management: Maintain a library of proposal content, templates, and other documentation to streamline the proposal creation process.
- CRM Management: Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, ensuring data integrity and usability.
- Sales Process Improvement: Implement and refine sales processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Work with various departments (e.g., legal, finance, product management, and operations) to gather necessary information and approvals for proposals.
- Reporting: Generate regular sales reports and dashboards for management review.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical support to the sales team, translating customer requirements into feasible technical solutions.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to prospective clients.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all proposals are accurate, comprehensive, and tailored to the client's needs.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
- BA or BS Degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Aviation Sciences, Business Administration, Sales, or related fields preferred
Experience:
- Individual Contributor on a functional group.
- 2-5 years of experience in sales engineering, proposals, function preferred.
- Aviation experience required.
- Aircraft Maintenance, Enhancements and Pay by the Hour Programs knowledge.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Good leadership and team working skills.
- Experience in sales and the technology field.
- Experience in avionics and aircraft maintenance sales
- Airworthiness authorities’ regulations (desirable)
- Sales finance fundamentals (costs, expenses, pricing and margins)
- Excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Data analysis or data sciences (basic/regular)
- Knowledge in project management
- Interface with multi-cultural, virtual/remote teams
- Negotiation skills, communication and presentation
- Customer-driven / attitude
- Continuous improvement, PDCA / Lean philosophy
- Proficient in Salesforce (desirable)
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office application
Working Conditions / Environment/ Special Requirements
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally in support of sales department.
