About the Paving Roller Operator position:

This position is responsible for compacting asphalt material to desired finish using specialized, high impact equipment such as a vibratory roller, one ton finish roller, hand roller, tamper, etc. Frequently performs hand tamping jobs as appropriate on areas where the roller could not reach. Qualified candidates will be knowledgeable in paving operations, have two years of operating a roller and must be able to see and correct defects in surfaces being rolled, such as depressions, swales, seams, edges, etc.

Education and Experience:

• No formal education required.
• Requires two years of hands-on, asphalt paving experience including all aspects of laborer and roller compacting duties.
