Position Overview:

This position works directly with the F&A Manager (India) on Accounts Payables and related day to day activities. This position will work closely with our India team and under a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of three days per week in our Mumbai headquarters. 

We are looking for a candidate with a degree in accounting and with experience in Accounts Payables who is willing to learn and grow with an expanding F&A team as it scales the team’s capability to maintain financial records, purchase register, bank payments-bookings, vendor reports, etc. The candidate will be involved in organizing accounting files, posting transactions to Tally, conducting monthly reconciliation and other accounting and administrative projects and activities.   

Ultimately, the candidate’s responsibilities will include an increasing focus on accounting responsibilities to accurately record all day‐to‐day financial transactions of our company, particularly AP and related activities. A desire to learn and grow in the accounting profession is important to grow in this role. Additionally, excellent interpersonal skills are needed for interfacing with management, auditors and other members of the Terviva team. 

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the day-to-day AP activities such as ensuring PO is raised correctly, purchases are made against authorized POs, ensuring three-way match before processing payments
  • Review invoices for appropriate documentation and completeness prior to payment
  • Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry into the system on timely basis.
  • Ensure proper GST liability & TDS has been recorded in accounting system
  • Manage bank payments and payment postings on a timely basis.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliation statement and creditors ageing reports for management review
  • Recording and monitoring vendor transactions in case of bean procurement in cash.
  • Execute credit card statement reconciliation
  • Collaborate with respective stakeholders in resolving issues related to invoices received for payment
  • Co-coordinating with stakeholders with regards to vendor creation and approvals
  • Tracking outstanding POs / invoices and coordinating with PO owners to ensure timely payment.
  • Replying to the queries raised by vendors with regards to the invoices, payments, TDS, etc.
  • Monitoring MSME payment on timely basis
  • Preparing monthly statement of payment made to MSME; reporting delayed payments to MSME.
  • Ability to multi-task across verticals
  • Performs other duties as may be required from time to time in a start-up set-up.

Required Skills and Education: 

  • A graduate with around 3 - 4 years of experience in AP role.
  • Highly detail‐oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast‐paced environment. 
  • Strong organization skills with ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
