Overview:
The Level 2 Installer is responsible for assisting with the installation of transport, coax, power, and fiber cables. You will work under the direct supervision of a Stockton Telecom manager or a Level 3/4 Installer. This role includes supporting installations, performing basic tasks, and assisting in self-quality checks. You are not permitted to perform higher-level tasks without proper supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work under the supervision of a Stockton Telecom manager or Level 3/4 Installer
- Install and remove non-powered or passive equipment
- Install and remove wiring and connections (only on non-working equipment and switchboard cable)
- Perform lead verification
- Assist with self-quality checks at the end of each project
- Only perform Level 3 or 4 tasks when properly supervised
- Work toward advancement to Level 3, which requires a minimum of 4 years of experience or documented equivalent proficiency
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1.5 years of relevant experience, or documented equivalent proficiency as determined by Stockton Telecom
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive movements using arms, hands, and fingers
- Able to pull cables and wires
- Must wear protective equipment as needed
- Adhere to all safety protocols at the worksite
