Desi Fresh Foods is a leading “cultured” dairy manufacturer with over 23 years of experience. We produce high-quality and consistent products, which include yogurt (Dahi or Indian, Greek and traditional), smoothies / yogurt drinks, sour cream, and dips from single serve options to food service side. We are currently seeking a skilled Associate Maintenance Manager to join our team and contribute to the ongoing success of our facility in Frederick County, Virginia!

About the Role

As an Associate Maintenance Manager at our yogurt processing facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the uninterrupted operation of our production equipment. You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks on various machinery and systems to minimize downtime and maintain product quality. Your expertise in production equipment, electrical systems, and air pressure and steam will be essential in meeting our production goals efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine maintenance inspections and service tasks on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues and implement effective repair solutions in a timely manner.

• Ensure that maintenance staff perform preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule to prevent equipment failures and maximize up time.

• Collaborate with production staff to prioritize maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to production schedules.

• Work with the maintenance team to adhere to facility, quality, and safety policies and procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.

• Document maintenance activities, including repairs, parts usage, and equipment performance, accurately and in a timely manner.

• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery as needed.

• Ensure all building equipment is on PM programs or under service contracts, such as Air conditions, Air Compressors, etc.

About You

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or electrical fields is ideal.

• Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or technician in a manufacturing or food processing environment preferred, along with some engineering experience.

• Strong knowledge of production equipment, including conveyors, pumps, mixers, and packaging machinery.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including motors, switches, and control panels.

• Familiarity with pneumatic systems, air pressure controls, and steam generation systems.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package. This role has a pay range of $85,000-$100,000 annually. The pay range provided is an estimated base pay range for this role. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, education, and location.
