<p><strong>The opportunity</strong></p><p><span dir="ltr">Shieldpay are looking for a Senior Financial Crime Operations Analyst to join our Financial</span><br><span dir="ltr">Crime Operations team supporting the Head of Financial Crime to c</span></p><p><span dir="ltr"></span><span dir="ltr">The role will be required to assist with the authoring and editing of financial crime operational </span><span dir="ltr">procedures, process collateral and track progress made on the implementation of </span><span dir="ltr">enhancements to the financial crime framework. This role will work closely with the second line </span><span dir="ltr">Compliance team to ensure all processes and associated documentation are effectively </span><span dir="ltr">mitigating against the financial crime risks posed to the business. Occasionally this role will be </span><span dir="ltr">required to support the operational team with the onboarding and ongoing monitoring of </span><span dir="ltr">complex financial crime cases</span></p><ul></ul><p><strong>What you’ll be doing</strong></p><ul><li><span dir="ltr">Work with Compliance to enhance the Business Wide Financial Crime Risk Assessment.</span></li><li><span dir="ltr"></span><span dir="ltr">Work with the Head of Financial Crime to implement controls required as a result of the </span><span dir="ltr">Financial Crime Risk Assessment.</span></li><li><span dir="ltr"></span><span dir="ltr">Author and enhance procedures relating to Financial Crime Operations activities.</span></li><li><span dir="ltr">Ensure </span><span dir="ltr">these procedures mitigate financial crime risks and work with the Compliance team to </span><span dir="ltr">have them reviewed and signed off by relevant stakeholders.</span></li><li><span dir="ltr"></span><span dir="ltr">Track and report to senior management and the board on enhancements to the Financial </span><span dir="ltr">Crime framework.</span></li><li><span dir="ltr"></span>Ensure procedures are kept up to date and manage the ongoing review of first line procedures and controls.</li><li><span dir="ltr"></span><span dir="ltr">Working with Reg Tech providers to understand their offerings and how they can meet the </span><span dir="ltr">requirements of the business to enhance our first line controls and product offerings.</span></li><li><span dir="ltr"></span><span dir="ltr">Work with IT to enhance the financial crime operations systems by writing requirements </span><span dir="ltr">and work with IT on refinement of IT capabilities.</span></li><li><span dir="ltr"></span><span dir="ltr">On occasion, perform KYC on a wide range of client types and risk, in particularly enhanced </span><span dir="ltr">due diligence, complex ownership, etc and perform Quality Checks (QC) on KYC files </span><span dir="ltr">completed by members of the team.</span></li><li><span dir="ltr"></span><span dir="ltr">Act as an escalation point for the Financial Crime Operations team and deputise for the </span><span dir="ltr">Head of Financial Crime when necessary.</span></li></ul><ul></ul><p><strong>What we're looking for in you</strong></p><ul><li><span dir="ltr">Expert knowledge of KYC/Compliance/AML standards at UK regulated financial services </span><span dir="ltr">company.</span></li><li><span dir="ltr"></span><span dir="ltr">Can effectively understand financial crime risks posed to financial services companies and </span><span dir="ltr">design and implement operational procedures to mitigate these risks.</span></li><li><span dir="ltr"></span><span dir="ltr">Knowledge and understanding of payment schemes and regulatory regimes.</span></li><li><span dir="ltr"></span><span dir="ltr">Demonstrated experience of due diligence in onboarding/KYC refresh of financial services </span><span dir="ltr">and products.</span></li><li><span dir="ltr"></span><span dir="ltr">Knowledge of multiple complex client types (i.e., Corporates, Non-Banking Financial</span></li><li><span dir="ltr"></span><span dir="ltr">Institutions, Funds, Non-Operating/Asset Holding Companies/SPVs, Organizations, Publicly </span><span dir="ltr">Traded Companies, Trusts)</span></li><li><span dir="ltr"></span><span dir="ltr">Strong written and oral communication skills with experience of conflict resolution and </span><span dir="ltr">ability to influence internal and external stakeholders</span></li><li><span dir="ltr"></span><span dir="ltr">Strong attention to detail</span></li><li><span dir="ltr">Proactive and flexible approach to personal workload and wider team targets</span></li><li><span dir="ltr"></span><span dir="ltr">Ability to work under pressure and to fixed deadlines</span></li><li><span dir="ltr"></span><span dir="ltr">Effective at managing time appropriately and organising workload for maximum</span><br><span dir="ltr">productivity.</span><span dir="ltr"></span></li><li><span dir="ltr">Logical, structured approach to planning, problem solving and decision-making</span></li></ul><p><span dir="ltr"></span><strong>What we’re looking for in you</strong></p><ul><ul></ul><ul></ul><ul></ul><ul></ul><ul></ul></ul><ul><li>As we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where every individual is valued, respected, and empowered to use their voice, we’ll expect you to demonstrate a likeminded approach to how you communicate and collaborate with others. </li><li>We don’t like old fashioned corporate hierarchy.
