An opportunity has arisen to join Eurostar as its Safety Auditor.

Eurostar’s Safety and Health department oversees for both EIL and THIF the application of the safety policy determined and authorised by the CEO and supports other functions’ safety experts. It is in charge of the development of Eurostar’s safety management systems and safety culture and the retention of the safety certificates.  The safety assurance and governance team manage the assurance and governance arrangements, together with providing internal verification that all legal requirements for safe operations across all states where operations are undertaken are adequately met and that the Safety Management Systems for the Eurostar Group are effective. The team also acts as the statutory reporting point for occupational accidents and incidents. 

This position is based at our Head Office in Kings Cross.

Internal use only: Grade D, Travel Level 4 based in KP

Requirements

We are looking for someone to...

• Assist in the development and delivery of the internal health and safety audit plan across all Eurostar operations.
• Participate in the RM3/ERA model Panel Meeting.
• Assist in the Development and maintenance of the company processes and procedures in order to ensure that this is maintained up to date taking account of relevant business changes.
• Ensure all audit reports contain a proposed RM3 / ERA rating and assist with the production of the annual overall RM3 report.
• Maintain an audit recommendation tracking system, providing appropriate input to the PSR reviews in order to produce status reports on outstanding action plans, highlighting any remedial action required to address deficiencies.
• Prepare audit/management assurance reports at the completion of all audits/inspections for review by the Safety Assurance and Governance Director prior to publication.

You’ll need…

• Audit & analytical skills
• Report writing skills
• Ability to communicate in both French and English. (Verbal & Written at Level B2 is essential, Level C1 is desirable.
• Office 365 suite skills
• Knowledge of UK and European legislative requirements in respect of railway operation.
