Communications and Marketing Manager

If you’re an experienced communications and marketing professional, who wants to do exciting and interesting work, with a small, cohesive and experienced team, then please read on!

We may be a small team, but we’re a mighty one, and we’re looking for an energised, Communications and Marketing Manager to lead and manage the internal and external communications and marketing activities across ALGIM. Sounds fairly stock standard, right?

We’re different, good different! We do a lot of exciting things and have a lot of interesting pet projects to get stuck in to. We’re a membership-based organisation, with 100% membership of all 78 councils in NZ. You’ll get huge exposure to innovation, technology, and talented people.

You’ll be an active communicator, who agrees that collaboration really is key. You’ll regularly bring others into the fold by asking what do you think? You’ll do your best work with the team, you’re not a lone ranger.

Ideally you’ve worked in a similar role and have experience working for local government  – you understand our members and how to communicate with them.

If you’re a self-starter, who takes a let’s get it done approach, and who wants to be a part of digitally transforming local government sector, both domestically and internationally, while working within a really fab team, then we really should have a chat.

At The Association of Local Government Information Management (ALGIM for short), we provide professional development and thought leadership across a range of local government professions.  We organise a large number of training and events, including an internationally recognised Annual Conference.  Our mission is to bring people and technology together to deliver better Local Government services.
