QA/QC Specialist 

 

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a QA/QC Specialist for our Lowell team. 

 

This highly motivated, detailed-oriented individual will be responsible for sampling incoming material and analyze using basic chemistry functions as required by the facility permit.

This position reports to the Facility Manager. This role is onsite and is based in Lowell, MA 

 

Essential responsibilities:

• Develop an understanding of Triumvirate’s Health and Safety Practices, Triumvirate’s operating permit, and EPA regulations.
• Understand the facility permit and local governing agency expectations for waste management.
• Sample incoming material and analyze using basic chemistry functions as required by the facility permit.
• Develop knowledge of QA/QC and basic lab functions related to material verification
• Ability to work with computerized waste tracking system including data entry of sample results
• Assist with waste determinations/profile management
• Consolidate waste according to permits, disposal facility requirements, and customer preferences
• Learn to prepare outgoing shipments in accordance with EPA/DOT/ Facility requirements.
• Demonstrate the ability to be creative and solve unique problems.
• Waste inventory management and emergency response.
• Assist with general facility compliance including performing daily/weekly/monthly compliance checks, training, SOP implementation/review, and process review
• Ability to work as a team player.

 

Basic Requirements:

• Minimum of Associates Degree in Environmental Science, safety or related degree required OR 2+ years of industry, or relative Military experience
• Show determination/eagerness to learn and retain a basic knowledge of daily work practices.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Suite, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work as a member of a team as well as individually
• Successful completion (upon point of hire) of OSHA/DOT physical examination
• Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds
• This is a safety-sensitive position 
• Strong communication, problem solving, and relationship building skills preferred
