We are seeking an experienced and well-networked Corporate Communications Director to join our team. This pivotal role will drive business growth, nurture client relationships, and lead the development and delivery of high-quality, integrated communications programs. As a trusted advisor to Dutch and international clients, you’ll provide senior-level counsel to help them achieve their communications and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead account teams in Corporate Reputation, providing strategic counsel to C-suite clients.
- Design and manage innovative reputation programs and multi-market campaigns, consulting across paid, earned, and owned media.
- Spearhead new business pitches, including RFPs and formal presentations, to showcase Edelman’s expertise.
- Develop PR proposals and strategic materials to retain and expand client engagements.
- Manage a diverse client portfolio, guiding teams and fostering the growth of junior team members.
- Direct media engagement strategies, positioning clients as industry thought leaders and delivering high-impact media coverage.
- Oversee financial planning and management, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to drive commercial objectives and contribute to Edelman’s thought leadership initiatives, like the Edelman Trust Barometer.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Extensive experience in corporate PR and reputation management, with knowledge of intersections across Public Affairs, Financial Communications, and Consumer sectors.
- Proven ability to manage complex issues and provide strategic counsel to senior clients under pressure.
- Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of delivering projects on budget and achieving measurable outcomes.
- Exceptional communication skills, with expertise in international media landscapes and digital platforms.
- Experience leading multi-market strategies and collaborating with diverse, cross-functional teams.
- An entrepreneurial spirit, exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for innovation.
