COE & Product Overview: Applied Research & Technology Development team of Dover India Innovation Centre (DIIC), Bangalore have (a) Materials & Polymer Composite and (b) Surface finish & Coating COEs. These COEs are working on next generation technology projects related to polymer composites, corrosion protection coating, etc that enable DOVER OPCOs to grow their business. At this moment "Applied Research & Technology Development team is planning to hire LabVIEW based instrumentation and automation engineers to work on the research projects.
Roles & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a candidate with hands on experience on NI LabVIEW system integration, programming, and testing. The Engineer shall be responsible for design, development, programming and testing of LabVIEW based data acquisition and test instrument with different types of sensors, transducers, signal conditioning and processing, programming, calibration of test setup, development of algorithms for predictions, etc which can be used in the ongoing R&D projects
To own up the design and development of Lab view-based data acquisition and test system consisting of sensor identification, interface circuits, signal conditioning, signal processing, data collection and interpretation including LABVIEW programming and testing.
Shall be a self-learning and able to debug and resolve the issues that come during the development phase.
Shall own up and conduct the testing and calibration as defined are required by the research project.
Work in a small team developing software systems for testing lab
GUI programming in LabView for Windows
Shall able to analysis the data and develop and algorithm to predict the failure Shall also implement the optimization techniques using AL, Client, Swarm etc.
Assist with RnD project testing (hardware & software)
Software design & documentation to company standards
Active participation in project
Internal travel shall be required to go to our test facilities
Skills Required:
4 years or more experience in Lab view software development for an industrial environment
Understand in depth LabVIEW basics from requirement to deployment. Worked on deploying various NI VIs and its integration. Good logical approach and understanding
Proven track record of deploying NI based complex tests systems involving Sensors, actuators, custom controllers, Programmable logic controllers, DAQs and data analysis. (Control, data acquisition and user interface software using LabView)
Understand development of test set up, system integration, data logging, development of NI based systems with available hardware.
Sound knowledge on system development and selection of DAQ, CDAQ, PXI systems for a requirement right from scratch. Worked on electromechanical systems (pressure flow, vibration) for lab view deployment.
Understand equipment interfaces and is expert to deploy the same in test stand with thorough verification.
Good debugging skills and simulated environment deployment experience with LabVIEW.
Ability to perform all assigned tasks, work independently, and complete work on schedule.
Knowledge on sensor integration and data analytic skills would be an advantage.
Formal revision control systems (Git, Perforce or equivalent)
Microsoft Office, including Visio
Experience with ROS
Experience with C, C++ and/or Python
