We have an exciting opportunity to join the Technical team as Quality Manager at our Johnstones site as part of ‘Finsbury Food Group’. This is what you’ll actually do!
In this fast moving, busy and varied role, you will be a vital part of the Technical team reporting to Technical Manager(Dual site) and responsible for ensuring quality assurance, which is instrumental in delivering great value, safe, innovative and quality assured products.
Day to day you will strive for continuous improvement and implement the Quality Standards, Systems and Processes for the company products in line with group policy. You will be responsible for ensuring these meet and exceed customers’ requirements and you will ensure full compliance as per the site vision.
In the role you will manage, motivate and oversee the Quality Auditors, providing goal orientated feedback, strong communication links and driving business performance and KPI’s in a fast-paced environment. You will be passionate about leading your team, identifying and supporting in their development. You will lead by example and play a key role in leading a positive culture through outstanding team-based relationships.
You will be responsible for conducting risk based Quality Systems Audits as required. A part of the role will also include reviewing customer complaints, audit deficiencies and monitoring the status of root cause corrective actions. You will also work alongside Health and Safety as required as you will oversee health and safety issues within the scope of the role and produce risk assessments as appropriate under the guidance of the team.
Part of the role will include managing the provision of accurate and comprehensive information for both internal and external customers in a timely manner. This will include recording, analysing and distributing statistical information and establishing strong relationships with other internal departments, customers, suppliers and service providers.
You will also act as a catalyst for change and improved performance quality through ensuring relevant, robust systems are developed and implemented to allow complete compliance to BRC and customer requirements whilst maintaining product quality, legality and safety. You will be required to maintain allergen and HACCP controls on site and the accuracy of associated information.
In this role you will work closely with the site operations team to encourage honesty and co-operation with any technical, compliance and quality issues and you will need excellent communication to build positive relationships with key stakeholders. You will be a strong leader who is experienced at communicating across all levels of the organisation and confident when dealing with internal and external contacts.
