Engineering Stores Controller

As the Engineering Stores Controller, you will play a key role in managing our engineering stores to ensure smooth operations and support the maintenance of our manufacturing plants. Your friendly and attentive approach will help create a positive work environment that supports productivity and collaboration. With your organizational skills and attention to detail, you will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our engineering department.

Responsibilities

• Manage the inventory of engineering spares and tools in the stores
• Ensure that stock levels are maintained and in line with engineering department requirements
• Coordinate with suppliers to place orders and negotiate pricing terms
• Receive and inspect deliveries, checking for accuracy and quality
• Accurately update inventory records using computerized systems
• Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues with stock levels or deliveries
• Collaborate with the engineering team to understand their requirements and provide necessary items in a timely manner

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a food production environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking and record-keeping
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in computerized inventory management systems
• Knowledge of engineering and maintenance spares and tools
