Duties :
Position Description:
Principal Accountabilities
Required Skills With High Proficiency And Understanding Of The Following:
1. Electrical schematics, single lines diagrams, PLC ladder logic, and P&ID's,
2. Repair and troubleshoot analog and discrete instrument loops.
3. Test and calibration equipment like multi-meters and pneumatic calibrators.
4. Process Instrumentation calibration procedures (transmitters, control valves, thermocouples, etc).
5. Computerized systems to enter and retrieve data
6. Troubleshoot and repair 24 Vdc and 120 Vac control circuits.
7. Troubleshoot PLC logic problems.
8. Troubleshooting skills pertaining to pressure, temperature, level and flow instrumentation loops.
9. Fabrication, wiring and hook-up experience of instrumentation and electrical equipment.
Supplementary Skills With Working Knowledge Of The Following:
1. Working knowledge of other test and calibration equipment like meggers and ground resistance testers.
2. Troubleshoot and repair 480 Vac, 3 phase motor controls and VFD's.
3. Siemens Client.
4. HMI and PanelView programming.
5. PID loop tuning.
6. ACAD knowledge.
Qualifications and Accountabilities
1. High School Diploma/GED
2. 3+ years of experience as an I&E Technician with Trade/Technical degree or apprenticeship in instrumentation or electrical field is required or,
3. 10+ years of experience as an I&E Technician without Trade/Technical degree or apprenticeship.
4. Military service and training in a related field will be considered.
5. Detail oriented and ability to document details appropriately.
6. Familiar with PLCs and & PLC logic. Experience with Allen Bradley / Rockwell systems preferred but not required.
7. Experience with Wonderware InTouch (HMI software) preferred but not required.
8. High personal safety philosophy.
9. Good organizational skills.
10. Must be team orientated and have a willingness to learn and further develop technical skills
