Enterprise Architect

Position Summary:

As Enterprise Architect, you will provide cybersecurity support to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in Springfield, VA. You will develop and maintains business, systems, and information processes to support enterprise mission needs; develops information technology (IT) rules and requirements that describe baseline and target architectures.

Clearance Requirement:
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that acquired or developed system(s) and architecture(s) are consistent with organization's cybersecurity architecture guidelines.
  • Define appropriate levels of system availability based on critical system functions and ensure that system requirements identify appropriate disaster recovery and continuity of operations requirements, including any appropriate fail-over/alternate site requirements, backup requirements, and material supportability requirements for system recover/restoration.
  • Identify and prioritize critical business functions in collaboration with organizational stakeholders.
  • Provide input to the Risk Management Framework process activities and related documentation (e.g., system life-cycle support plans, concept of operations, operational procedures, and maintenance training materials).
  • Evaluate security architectures and designs to determine the adequacy of security design and architecture proposed or provided in response to requirements contained in acquisition documents.
  • Write detailed functional specifications that document the architecture development process.
  • Document and update all definition and architecture activities.
  • Translate proposed capabilities into technical requirements.
  • Document how the implementation of a new system or new interface between systems impacts the current and target environment including but not limited to security posture.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
  • BS degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution.
  • Must have CISSP-ISSAP or CISSP-ISSEP certification
  • Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
  • Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk).
  • Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge of database systems.
  • Knowledge of organization's enterprise information security architecture.
  • Knowledge of organization's evaluation and validation requirements.
  • Knowledge of installation, integration, and optimization of system components.
  • Knowledge of Security Assessment and Authorization process.
  • Knowledge of network access, identity, and access management (e.g., public key infrastructure, Oauth, OpenID, SAML, SPML).
  • Knowledge of the systems engineering process.
  • Knowledge of critical infrastructure systems with information communication technology that were designed without system security considerations.
  • Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework Assessment Methodology.
  • Knowledge of multi-level security systems and cross domain solutions.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems.
Physical Demands and Expectations:
  • Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 15 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting
  • Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
  • Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
