Job Description: Job Duties: Employment Compliance Intern
This intern position is intended to provide administrative support to the Employee Relations Manager and Employee Leave Specialist.
The Employee Relations Intern will assist the employee relations and leave team on
ADA
Unemployment claims
Drug screening
Disciplinary action forms and filings
Protected leave
Workers compensation
Filing and miscellaneous office support
Required Qualifications:
Degree program(s) / Current Status: Senior-level undergraduate, recent graduate or graduate student with studies in Human Resources Management
Cumulative GPA: 3.0 preferred; 2.8 minimum cumulative GPA.
Relevant Experience: Previous HR internship experience is preferred.
Other Qualifications:
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Knowledge of Microsoft Access is a plus.
Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication abilities.
Must demonstrate the ability to think analytically and present ideas professionally.
Self-motivated, adaptable to a changing work environment and team-oriented.
Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week and provide your own housing in Baton Rouge, LA.
Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to relate respectfully to a variety of personalities. •
