Services Required: Connected Health Services, specifically the DRO program, and Privacy is seeking the services of a Privacy Consultant. The consultant will work within the DRO program to draft all privacy impact assessments and related documentation required to support the platform’s many complex privacy considerations, including integrations to/from private practice EMRs, provincial registries and health authority clinical informatics systems.
The consultant’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to: •Supporting the Documentation of the DRO Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA): This includes the development and writing of the PIA, along with any necessary amendments across multiple product releases. Each release may introduce new data/flow considerations for PIA approval.
•Collaborating with the Privacy Office: Regularly engage with the Privacy delegate to report on documentation progress and identify any newly discovered risks or challenges related to the PIA
•Assisting in Drafting the End User Participation Agreement: Work with Privacy to draft the privacy considerations that need to be included in the End User Participation Agreement for the DRO product.
•Liaising with the MOH Policy Team: Supporting DRO and Privacy, the consultant will be engaged on a need-to-know basis, particularly when policy developments have a direct impact on the PIA, such as the identification of gaps or issues requiring remediation in relation to the DRO project.
•Participate in DRO Work Meetings: Attend DRO work meetings to stay informed about information collection, use, or disclosure related to the systems.
The contracted work will vary in hours, with documentation/review/update needs arising within each development cycle leading to a product release. The first product release is planned for late 2023. •
