Job Description: As part of the Analytical Research and Development (ARD) group in Biotherapeutics Pharmaceutical Sciences, we are seeking an enthusiastic, self-driven, and optimistic a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree (with at least 5+, 3+, and 0-3 years of work experience, respectively) level candidate specializing in oligonucleotide assay development. As such, candidate should have in-depth understanding and hands-on experience with the characterization of plasmid DNA and mRNA. Candidates should be comfortable working at the interface of analytical chemistry, biochemistry, as well as interacting with cross-site research groups. Excellent written and communication skills, effective time-management, an innovative spirit, and the ability and desire to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced, team-oriented environment are essential for the position.
Role Responsibilities
Develop quantitative methods for a wide range of oligonucleotides.
Optimize enzymatic modification of DNA and RNA.
Assay automation and implementation
Technical Skills
1) Specialization in handling and characterizing nucleic acids.
2) Extensive hands-on experience with standard molecular biology techniques, such as gel electrophoresis, UV/Vis, and HPLC.
3) Experience performing restriction digests and related enzymatic techniques.
4) Familiarity with mRNA/DNA therapeutics is highly desired with respect to structural characterization approaches, challenges and gaps, and regulatory principles.
5) Automation experience with liquid handlers is not required but is preferred.
