Why are we hiring:   

Over the past 18 months, we've been on a journey to integrate user-centred design practices into the BigChange software development lifecycle, as well as laying the groundwork for frontend transformation through the implementation of our design system, Highway, and a transition towards micro frontends. 
 
On a mission to build the world’s best job management platform we’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer who will play a leading role in our continued transformation. You’ll be someone who enjoys simplifying the complex and crafting world-class user experiences. You will be a true champion of the user – someone who is not afraid to challenge the status quo and willing to do the hard yards so that our customers don’t have to. 
 
We’re a small team with big ambitions. We’re putting in the groundwork with our tools, processes and ways of working to create a world-class Product Design function, paying particular attention to designer and developer experience.

What we are looking for:

• Proven Product Design commercial experience
• Strong experience designing experiences for mobile and web
• Experience leading design projects from concept to completion
• Strong user research skills to ensure designs meet user needs effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to simplify complex processes

• Experience using data and analytics to inform design decisions
• Expert knowledge of design and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision etc (Figma preferred)
• Experience working with component libraries and design systems
• Experience mentoring junior and mid-level designers
• Experience working in a collaborative environment with engineers, product managers etc
• Great understanding of best practice usability and accessibility practices
• Experience in the B2B and/or Software as a Service (SaaS) space is a bonus
• Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their impact on design is a bonus
• A passion for Lean and Agile ways of working and embrace experimentation and continuous improvement
• Be passionate about all things UX, design and innovation and keep up to date on the latest industry trends and technologies
