Research Engineer

SUMMARY:

Aeroseal is looking for a Research Engineer that will assist us in our mission by assisting us in our mission by expanding the research and evaluation team at Aeroseal. You will work both individually and as a team member to acquire scientific evidence to further our high-paced research and product evaluation agenda. The fundamentals behind Aeroseal technology are evolving rapidly and this position is an opportunity to make a significant impact on a unique scientific area.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Must-haves:

• Bachelor’s Degree or MSc in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or another related field.
• 1 to 5 years of experience in science and engineering.
• Fully fluent with MS Office.
• Hands-on experience in experimental measurements (design, execution, analysis).
• Experience with measurement sensors.

Desired:

• Experience with CAD modeling.
• Understanding of sprays, nozzles, and particle size analysis.
• Experience with integrating measurement sensors with recording software.
• Experience with LabView.
• Experience automating data collection and analysis.
• Understanding of sealant and adhesives.
• Familiarity with 3D printing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect, process, and analyze data from test equipment.
• Setup and complete experiments and test apparatus
• Complete hands-on engineering.
• Develop and provide input on experimental design and Aeroseal fundamental theory.
• Design and manufacture custom test equipment, engineering tools, and other evaluation accessories.
• Automate sensor data collection to expand testing capabilities.

The estimated pay range for this role is $80,000-90,000. Actual pay is based on various factors including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s experience, skills, knowledge, and job location. Please note that the compensation details listed in role postings reflect the base salary and do not include bonuses or benefits.
