Role -
CVA/CCAR Business Analyst
Rate - $65.56/HR on W2 (OT past 40 hours = $98.34/HR)
Duration - 12 Month Assignment (possible extension)
Location - Wall Street area (NYC)

Credit Value Adjustments (CVA) Analytics & Control Framework manages the reconciliation of CVA/CCAR OTC trade population between Finance and Risk and Y9C-CCAR.

CVA Analytics & Control Framework is responsible resolving population integrity issues for OTC Finance and Risk trade population by delivering automation and process re-engineering projects. These projects allow the firm to report complete finance and risk OTC trade population.

In addition, these projects impact significant firm business and architecture initiatives such as security referential and pricing referential realignment, and revamp of the settlement and clearing platforms.

CVA/CCAR Business Analyst will be responsible for business analysis in support of critical planning and execution of project deliverables related to CVA/CCAR Reconciliation. Activities will include communication and planning, data analysis, business and functional requirements documentation, data reconciliation review, planning, coordination and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Below are the main responsibilities of the CVA/CCAR Business Analyst:

• Lead/Assist & coordinate strategic CVA Recon architecture re-design, among SMEs across Functions, to consume exposure data from Genesis as opposed to Credit Engine, ensure consistent matching between FO and Genesis exposures in CVAA, and ensure consistency between CCAR 14A and Y9C
o Drive alignment with existing counterparty credit risk work streams (leveraging common platforms and data)
o Coordinate with FRI project managers to sustainably implement the process changes
o Strengthen compliance with the Reconciliation Standards & Guidelines for CCAR/DFAST Filings related to CVA population control.
• Review and resolve monthly CVA Finance and Risk Orphans with various stakeholders from Operations, Product Control, IT, Risk and Trading.
• Review and seek to resolve quarterly Y9C-CCAR Reconciliation, part of CCAR submissions. Present reconciliation results to Senior Executive Finance Management and CVA Risk Management.
• Review monthly CVA Reconciliation Deck and prepare executive summary for the monthly call.
• Prepare executive management presentations requested by Senior Executive Finance Management and CVA Steering Committee.
• Conduct weekly stakeholder meetings globally for all managed segments and investigate the root cause of the various CVA Finance and Risk orphans.
• Launch and coordinate projects to remediate various CVA population integrity issues.
• Assist on any ad-hoc inquiries from CVA Product Control, CVAA IT, Internal and External Audit, and CVA/CCAR Risk Management.

Relevant Experience (Specialized Knowledge and Technical Skills):

• Exposure to BASEL III, CVA and/or CCAR reporting is strongly preferred.
• Product knowledge of Fixed Income, Equities, and other OTC Derivatives is strongly preferred.
• Regulatory and Financial control and/or product control experience is a plus.
• Be able to manage project milestones and risks.
• Experience in business process reengineering and software development life cycle is a plus.
• Experience in system analysis and writing business and functional specifications is a plus.
• Strong data analysis, and reconciliation skills.

Qualifications (Educational Background, Professional Skills):

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to compile and contribute to management level presentations.
• Strong inter-personal, and problem solving skills.
• Understand the trade-offs and the limitations of technology.
• Be able to identify opportunities to solve business problems.
• Bachelor Degree in Finance or /advanced professional qualifications are considered a plus.
