Business Analyst (data analyst exp. req.) Description

Our client, a leader in the food & beverage sector, is looking for a Business Analyst to join their Team in Chattanooga. Their Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Division is expanding, and they have created this position to help with data analytics and visualization. There is a lot of unchartered territory from a data standpoint but that’s where it gets exciting. You’ll play a vital role during a time of hypergrowth and revolution. You’ll support internal reporting while evaluating sales insights to identify trends and uncover revenue opportunities. Although they are in the process of modernizing their software infrastructure, you will work heavily in Excel. They’re looking for candidates who can confidently show their ability to lead, collaborate, and help shape outcomes. Ultimately, the goal for this candidate is to move into a Product Management position where you’ll be more influential with overall strategy. Business Analyst (data analyst exp. req.) Responsibilities

•    Analyze consumer and sales insights for trends and opportunities
•    Develop regular and ad hoc reports on various categories
•    Consult with business teams to provide analysis and insights
•    Conduct field analysis for improvement recommendations
•    Design and run customized reports for management
•    Consolidate and format purchases into Excel for reporting 
•    Calculate rebates owed based on monthly purchases for accrual in Excel
•    Reconcile monthly payments with accruals in reporting
•    Liaison with Business Intelligence team for data requirements
•    Determine market needs and create growth strategy for assigned areas

Business Analyst (data analyst exp. req.) Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree required 
•    4+ years of experience working with raw data from multiple data sources required 
•    Advanced Excel skills including cleaning and analyzing large data sets required
•    Experience creating pivot tables (Excel assessment will be given) required 
•    Able to work onsite daily in Chattanooga required
