Syarah.com is looking for a Scrum Master who is responsible for guiding our teams in the effective application of Scrum, promoting self-organization, and ensuring the team delivers value in each sprint. You are a servant-leader to the Scrum team, helping to remove impediments, foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, and ensure the success of the Agile process.
Requirements
What are you responsible for?
- Facilitating Scrum Events : Organize and facilitate key Scrum events such as Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. Ensure that the team stays focused and adheres to the timebox of each event.
- Removing Impediments : Identify and remove obstacles that hinder the team’s progress. Protect the team from external disruptions and distractions.
- Coaching the Team : Coach team members in Agile practices and Scrum framework. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Guide the team on how to use Scrum practices to increase productivity and quality.
- Promoting Collaboration : Encourage open communication and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders. Facilitate interactions between the Product Manager and the development team to ensure alignment on goals and priorities.
- Supporting the Product Manager : Assist the Product Manager in managing the product backlog, ensuring that it is refined, prioritized, and clear to the team. Help in communicating the Product Manager’s vision to the development team.
- Ensuring Transparency : Ensure that progress is visible and transparent to the team and stakeholders through metrics like burn-down charts, velocity charts, and other relevant reporting tools.
- Continuous Improvement : Promote and lead the team in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions. Foster an environment where feedback is welcomed and acted upon.
- Team Building : Encourage the team to take ownership of their work and become self-managing. Support the development of a strong, cohesive, and motivated team
What makes you the perfect candidate?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience working as a Scrum Master or in a similar role.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certifications.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and Scrum practices.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and coaching skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
- Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
- Being empathic in understanding the needs and concerns of team members and stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and respond effectively to new challenges.
