Responsibilities
Work as part of the Meetings Analytics implementation team to build, modify and maintain core systems that perform data operations for our clients which includes:
• Leading the implementation of clients to SQL Server core system
• Designing and implementing new client solutions
• Maintaining key integration data flows from our clients' systems to our data warehouse
• Leading the transition of client projects from implementation to operations
Work with client managers to provide business analyst services including:
• Develop functional descriptions and mapping to SQL procedures
• Develop and lead functional and UAT testing
Candidates should be able to completely own deliverables after a short ramp up time
Desired Skills (Must Have)
SQL experience with ability to:
• Troubleshoot data loading and transformation procedures to resolve operational issues
• Understand & develop stored procedures (SPROC's) of medium to high complexity
• Write advanced TSQL report definitions
• Participate in unit test design
• Develop databases, BI objects and data driven software applications
Solid experience in database operations and/or data warehouses, particularly those based on SQL Server
• Ability to quickly learn db structure, table layout and production processes
• Knowledge of database design, database tuning and implementation, index tuning, SQL programming including creating databases, tables, views, stored procedures, user defined functions, and triggers
• Have an "application” view to conceptualize processes from end-to-end
• Ability to detect and diagnose issues with data services
• Develop and support core Data Warehouse functions
Advanced Excel skills including:
• Pivot tables
• Pivot tables formulas
• Working knowledge of macros/VBA
• Table functions
Other
• Advanced MS Access skills would be advantageous
• Curious nature who wants to understand why the data is the way it is
• Tableau experience is a plus, but not required
• Personal confidence and willingness to communicate often and fully
• Organizational skills and high attention to quality and detail
