Operating Room Environmental Services Worker

• Cleans and sanitizes the OR suites after blood, bone, and body fluid spills, using proper techniques per policy in the peri-operative setting. 

• Cleans all restricted, semi restricted and unrestricted corridors, floors, walls, lights, ceilings as needed. 
• Prior to the first case of the day, damp dusts all horizontal surfaces including, furniture, equipment and surgical lights, proper room turnover cleaning after each surgical case
• Utilizes UV lighting and altapure machines appropriately. Cleans soiled equipment after each case and places in proper storage area.
• Consistently uses proper personal protective equipment (PPE), washes hands thoroughly throughout shift in adherence to hospital policy
• Daily maintenance of EVS soiled utility rooms. Cleans staff locker rooms, disinfects sinks, toilets and floors in those areas. 
• Handles chemicals and solutions per departmental policy. Disinfects scrub sinks, stocks blanket warmers, linen carts and in each OR suite and replenishes supplies such as paper towels, soap, masks, as needed
• Assist in the preparation and set-up of equipment, identifies and reports the need for repairs and other potential environmental issues.

• Participates in Quality assurance and Performance Improvement projects as required
• Performs other duties as required.
• Minimum of 1 year+ of health care environmental services work experience in the OR
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer knowledge
