We are looking for a Construction Manager to join our team. In this role, you will manage our aerial and underground construction teams as they expand our fiber network.

What You'll Be Doing

Manage aerial and underground network construction teams - this includes linemen, drillers, utility locators, laborers, etc.
Manage both network expansion and upgrade projects in relation to the outside plant
Ensure all Loop safety policies and procedures are being followed
Coordinate staffing for multiple construction projects to ensure projects are done on time and of highest quality
Establish and enforce aerial and underground build standards for Loop’s network
Build, maintain, and continuously improve Loop’s build processes and procedures to increase efficiency and quality
Supervise contractors to ensure projects are being completed as agreed and according to Loop specifications, while also ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and policies
Partner with the construction project manager to ensure: people and equipment resources are properly assigned for projects, all necessary paperwork such as permits are obtained , work with local government officials, vendors, other utilities, etc. as needed to complete projects
Interpret network design maps and work with the aerial and underground teams along with the network design team to overcome issues and challenges as they arise
Assist with the mobilization and coordination of construction resources in the event of a fiber cut, storm damage, etc.

Education and Qualifications

High school diploma required
Understanding and experience with fiber engineering, fiber equipment installation, and OSP construction.
Knowledge of National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) regulations
2 years minimum experience working on outside plant projects
Experiencing building schedules and managing resources.
Strong leadership skills and previous experience managing people and projects
Driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
CDL not required, but helpful
Knowledge of safety and civil regulations
Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment and reasoning skills to a variety of situations
Ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively with other personnel to meet deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities and schedules
Must be able to work independently
Must be able to work in various weather conditions
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods
Must be able to climb ladders, use bucket trucks, and other plant equipment
