SCHEDULE:
- Type: On-site (remote work unavailable)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM– 3:30 PM ET or 7:30 AM ET – 2:30 PM ET
- Location: Manchester, NH
RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:
- Assist with training and hiring of new staff into a program.
- Performs other duties as required.
- In person consultation on-site minimum 2x per month- required.
- Supports students with educational and personal counseling.
- Develop and evaluation of a school counseling programming for K-6.
- Experience providing individual and small group counseling.
- Ability to directly interact with students who are exhibiting behaviors that might require physical interventions if necessary.
- Provide activities to help students understand themselves and their relationships with others and seeks to develop in students increased competency in decision-making and problem solving.
- Provide and coordinate training relating to social, emotional, behavioral needs of children to staff members and parents.
- Promote student and parental involvement in school, including parent/teacher conferences.
- Encourage open collaboration with parents, teachers, consultants and working as a team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years working in an office-based setting
- Previous experience in an Department of Education/Counselor related position preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and related computer software
- Ability to communicate effectively
- K-12 School Counselor (Endorsement 0040) or School Counseling Director (Endorsement 0042)
- Certified by the NH Department of Education
- Master’s degree in counseling
- 2 years minimum experience working with elementary aged children
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
- Knowledge of elementary school curriculum and concepts.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
