ABOUT HAKKODA

Hakkoda is a modern data consultancy that empowers data driven organizations to realize the full value of the Snowflake Data Cloud. We provide consulting and managed services in data architecture, data engineering, analytics and data science. We are renowned for bringing our clients deep expertise, being easy to work with, and being  an amazing place to work! We are looking for curious and creative individuals who want to be part of a fast-paced, dynamic environment, where everyone’s input and efforts are valued. We hire outstanding individuals and give them the opportunity to thrive in a collaborative atmosphere that values learning, growth, and hard work. Our team is distributed across North America, Latin America, and Europe. If you have the desire to be a part of an exciting, challenging, and rapidly-growing Snowflake consulting services company, and if you are passionate about making a difference in this world, we would love to talk to you!.

As a Sr. Engagement Manager at Hakkōda you will both lead client engagements and own the vision for Hakkoda’s Delivery Methodology. You will lead the day to day execution of client projects while guiding and developing individual team members on your team. You’ll work directly with clients – usually remotely – and you’ll take ownership of the overall project and its end products. You will have the opportunity to build on your proven leadership skills and leverage your interest in inspiring others, building strong relationships, and creating a true followership. You’d be joining a team of passionate, forward thinking engineers and data scientists who are charting a new course. In a collaborative team setting, you'll work closely with others but also operate autonomously with little direction. Your superior problem solving, analytical, quantitative and conceptual thinking skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills will ensure successful client projects and team performance. You will find a culture rich in collaboration, personal development and one that recognizes and pursues the zest for life.

Project Management:

- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize backlog items and define project goals.
- Track project progress, monitor key metrics, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
- Manage risks and dependencies, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions while adhering to project timelines and budgets.

Team Collaboration:

- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment conducive to creativity and innovation.
- Encourage open communication, transparency, and constructive feedback among team members.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing to maximize team efficiency and effectiveness.

Continuous Improvement:

- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance team productivity, quality, and delivery outcomes.
- Conduct retrospective meetings to reflect on past sprints and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement Agile best practices and frameworks to optimize project delivery and team performance.

- 8+ years of experience managing technical projects.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, preferably in data migration or related IT projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Analytical thinking and detail oriented mentality.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Mondays.com) and Agile collaboration platforms.

- Proactive and Assertiveness (firm but measured).
- Ability to be flexible and work effectively in an ambiguous and, at times, demanding, environment.
