ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for people experienced with building data warehouses and analytics systems in the cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
A Hakkoda Analytic Engineer will collect and analyze data to identify trends and provide clients with valuable information that they can use to improve marketing, operational and business practices. Their main duties include identifying, gathering, analyzing data and making their insights accessible to the company through easy-to-understand graphs, charts, tables and reports. You will be working closely with data engineers, asset owners and team experts and will have responsibilities across different dimensions. You will support the experts in the development of new tools and/or the maintenance of current proprietary databases especially through database structuring, developing workflow processes and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or other related field with strong quantitative focus.
- 3+yrs in related technical roles with experience in data management, database development, BI, ETL, and/or data analysis domain.
- Good understanding of data prep, Dashboards, analytics and visualization tools like R, Python, Power BI and Tableau.
- SQL scripting experience, Python and cloud infrastructure is a plus.
- Understanding data modeling, data warehousing, data lakes and big data concepts.
- Knowledge of any of the following tools is also a plus: Snowflake, Sigma, Looker, DBT, Matillion.
- Ability to prepare reports and present to internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills including assertiveness and ability to build strong client relationships.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to support and work with cross-functional and agile teams in a dynamic environment.
- Advanced English required.
