VetsEZ is seeking a LowCode/NoCode Release Engineer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs. This role will implement scalable solutions utilizing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) within the Agile development framework. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for providing support for VA’s Digital Transformation Center including working with project management, requirements elaboration, design, content creation, training, and communications for the configuration.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities:
- Plan the release of project deliverables and Product release life cycle.
- Oversight and governance of project release deliverables and assets.
- Participate in Sprint cycles to ensure that release assets are throughout the development cycle.
- Support the preparation of deployment assets of the product to the target audience in the production environment.
- Support the Digital Transformation Center (DTC) in the implementation and release of the configured application into production for end user use.
- Prepare Release notes, traceability matrix, deployment guides and system design documents to document the changes in functionality being deployed, in terms that are understandable by the target user personas.
- Communicate project-related tasks such as plans, timelines, requirements, etc.
- Coordinate the release schedule and resources required depending upon the third-party applications, defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates.
- Identify the risks that can delay the release and manage them, such that the scope scheduled, and quality of the release is not affected.
- Capture information for new features and enhancements, as well as for the entire release package for the configuration, development and integration services, quality assurance and automation testing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- 5+ years of experience with software quality assurance and software release or configuration management.
- Experience working with Salesforce development and testing environments.
- Intimate knowledge of source control principles and working in a Git environment.
- Experience working with the Copado DevOps toolset in Salesforce.
- Overall experience in System Design and SDLC lifecycle.
- Previous release and/or project management experience.
- Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle including analysis, design, implementation, test, integration, and maintenance.
- Experience managing releases for diverse environments with multiple applications and platform types.
- Experience with change management process and procedures required for maintenance releases.
- Familiarity with Salesforce development best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.
- Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with demonstrated experience.
Additional Qualifications:
- VistA/Government Release Management experience preferred
- Experience in the Department of Veteran's Affairs (VA).
- Experience with architectural frameworks (DODAF, FEAF)
- Ability to obtain a government clearance.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or any related certification.
