Responsibilties:
Install, configure and monitor Oracle Database.
Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user's specialized role
Work with scrum teams and is responsible for a variety of tasks including analysis, design, programming, testing and maintenance.
Monitor performance and maintain system health and security, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
Design backup processes for server and associated data
Create accounts for users and assign security levels
Establish a disaster recovery protocol and help resolve operational issues.
Provide end-to-end technical support and problem resolution.
Qaulifications:
Bachelor*s degree or equivalent work experience.
Modeling and In-depth concepts of RDBMS Oracle / SQL Server.
Knowledge in PL/SQL and database code objects like stored procedures, triggers, etc.
3+ years experience in Oracle database technologies including some knowledge of Oracle 12C.
Familiarity with Database design, documentation and coding
Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
Familiarity with cloud database technologies like Amazon RDS helpful
Desire to learn and work in DevOps capacity
Also they should have some exposure with 2 or more of the skills below:
Performance tuning skills - analyzing explain plans in newly coded PLSQL and SQL objects and suggesting improvements when necessary, designing necessary indexes, TKPROF etc
Experience of OLTP databases and executing data scripts to avoid excessive object locks
Knowledge of Oracle replication technologies – Goldengate, Streams, AQ
Writing queries to efficiently return large data sets without causing database degradation
Knowledge of materialized view refresh techniques
Database purging experience and strategies
Oracle job management - DBMS_jobs, DBMS_scheduler
Session management – killing rogue processes, blocking sessions
Oracle partitioning knowledge
