We're looking for a Senior Commercial Counsel to join our legal team. Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, you will manage complex commercial transactions, including negotiating enterprise-level SaaS agreements and complex partner and channel agreements. You will also take on unique challenges across several commercial and business agreements. You will be a strategic advisor to the business team and bring a business-oriented, practical mindset to solving problems and closing transactions. This is a great opportunity to help build and scale the existing commercial legal team in a mission-driven company and offers exposure to many different issues. What You'll Own
- Work directly with WalkMe's go-to-market organization to negotiate and close a variety of commercial agreements to support customer sales. Your primary focus will be on SaaS subscription agreements, software licenses, professional services agreements, data processing agreements, and NDAs
- You will provide practical guidance to support WalkMe's needs that balances our goals and legal risk, taking into account company policies and positions
- Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes
- Stay up-to-date on relevant industry, commercial, open source, IP, privacy, employment, and other laws, regulations, and developments to give effective advice
What You'll Need to Succeed
- 7+ years of experience working as a commercial legal counsel for a fast-growing company, experience with SaaS; combined experience with a top national or international law firm and as an in-house lawyer is preferred
- Academic or work experience with a focus on intellectual property law issues preferred along with an ability to support a wide range of teams and projects as the need arises including professional services, marketing, and product teams.
- A creative problem solving mindset is a must! And you must love quarterbacking deals and driving projects.
- JD from an accredited US law school, Bar admission in good standing
- Comfortable negotiating data privacy agreements, including a working knowledge of GDPR and CCPA as they relate to commercial contracts

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is between $175,00 and $250,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, and RSUs as part of our competitive total rewards package.
