Junior Project Manager

Job Description:

Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support the Commercial Install Department for their Rochester, NY location. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting Project Managers by collecting vendor quotes, procuring materials/equipment, organizing documentation and contracts, and more. 

 

This position would be ideal for a highly-motivated individual with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, and a basic understanding of HVAC/Construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist all Project Managers in any and all functions necessary to help run and manage construction projects
• Develop working knowledge of HVAC/plumbing systems, commercial and mechanical piping and ductwork
• Collect vendor quotes, as well as procure equipment and materials under the direction of the Project Managers and Senior Project Managers
• Review construction schedules and make recommendations based on staffing needs
• Submit equipment and material documents to client and internal staff for approvals, and ensure accurate installation in accordance with established submittal procedures
• Assist with material take-offs and material ordering for jobs
• Attend construction meetings with Project Managers and Senior Project Managers
• Assist Project Managers and Senior Project Managers with AIA and progress billing
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures

 

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Coursework or experience related to HVAC, plumbing, construction management, or mechanical engineering preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Course preferred

• Ability to anticipate and identify safety hazards and make appropriate adjustments in the work environment or process to eliminate them
• Keep information organized and accessible, maintain efficient workspaces, manage time effectively
• Knowledge of successful approaches, tools, and techniques for dealing with changes and adapting to a changing environment
• Excellent written, verbal and active listening skills
• Computer skills required

The starting base salary range for this position is $20-26.50hr. This is the range of the base pay only, it does not include other components that make up the total compensation package of the position. If offered a position, your total compensation package will be determined by experience, location, skills, and/or education which may result in a total compensation package that falls outside of the provided range.
