Junior Bookkeeper

RPO Recruitment's client, an established construction and development company is seeking a junior bookkeeper to joint their team of professionals in Sandton. You will assist the Accounting team in creating financial reports, processing accounts payable and receivable, and managing invoices and tax payments. The ideal candidate for this position would have a basic understanding of bookkeeping principles and be eager to learn and grow in the field of finance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recording day-to-day financial transactions.
• Help maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Support in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Assist in managing invoices and tax payments.
• Contribute to the preparation of financial reports as needed.
• Participate in internal audits and compliance activities.
• Perform general administrative tasks related to bookkeeping.

Requirements

• BCom degree
• Sage Pastel experience is a must!
• Prior experience in a bookkeeping or administrative role preferred.
• Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles.
• Knowledge of accounting software or willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
