Accountant

RPO Recruitment's client, a reputable computer consultant based in Sandton, is currently seeking a skilled Accountant to join their team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients and provide them with professional accounting services.

Responsibilities:

• Daily cash book processing, reconciling and allocation.
• Raising of Sales Ledger Invoices.
• Debtors’ management – receipt allocation, reconciliation, follow up.
• Suppliers’ management – reconciliation, query resolution, recordkeeping, payment preparation
• Accounting to balance sheet
• Full payroll administration and processing
• Department of Labor return of earnings submission.
• Other statutory functions

Requirements

• Proven work experience of at least 5 years as an Accountant or similar role.
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software. Xero is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Payroll software. Simple Pay or Sage VIP advantageous.
• In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting and statutory regulations.
• Minimum B Com degree with accounting as major and registration with SAIPA/SAICA
