As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. You will also collaborate with other team members to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data, as well as handle any inquiries related to financial matters.

Responsibilities

• Able to perform the full accounting function
• Maintain forex transactions including the tracking of payments, deliveries and clearing documentation
• Reconciliation of foreign supplier accounts
• Reconcile, maintain and submission of the Waste Management levy (EPR) in conjunction with the senior credit controller
• Cash book processing and Bank reconciliations
• Review of wages
• Reconcile General ledger control accounts – problem solving
• Payments – creditors and cash
• General admin duties associated with the position
• Assistance with the preparation of annual audit
• Adhere to all deadlines set by management

Requirements

• Commerce degree/diploma in Financial Accounting/Bookkeeping
• SAIPA/SAICA articles complete
• Alternatively, 4-5 years’ working experience as a bookkeeper, if no articles
• Syspro experience is advantageous
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong administrative skills
• Good communication skills
• Good time management skills
• Friendly yet assertive personality
• Ability to work under pressure
• Attention to detail with a flair for accuracy
