Hire Controller

As the Hire Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the hiring process for a wide range of equipment, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation for both the company and its clients. Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end hiring process, from receiving enquiries and providing quotes to coordinating equipment availability and scheduling delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure equipment availability and readiness for hire.
• Coordinate logistics and transportation for equipment delivery and collection.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of equipment hires, billing, and invoicing.
• Resolve any issues or concerns related to equipment hire, addressing customer inquiries and complaints in a friendly and professional manner.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices within the hire department.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a similar role, preferably within the equipment hire industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and customer-focused attitude.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple enquiries and hire requests simultaneously.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and billing.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in using computer systems and software for order management and invoicing.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel for on-site visits or equipment collection.
