We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to play an integral role in the performance and operation of a high-functioning product team. This role is expected to partner with the Product Manager and Engineering Lead from start to finish, from initial research and understanding of user problems, through scoping and the creation of user flows, all the way to polished pixels, shipped to the hands of real estate professionals. 

Purchasing and billing form the cornerstone of our customer product experience. A frustrating experience can make or break even the best experience with a product. This is an opportunity to help define and deliver a world-class purchase and billing experience for our largest customer base: our agents and brokers. To be successful in this role, you will need to confidently partner with your cross-functional team throughout the full product lifecycle with a high degree of comfort in all interaction & visual design activities, including contributing to the design system for our professional web & mobile apps. You will join a supportive team of product designers crafting tools and services for Agent and Broker customers to help grow their businesses and better support their clients throughout the buying and selling journey.

This role reports to the Senior Design Manager.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders—including researchers, product leaders, engineers, product marketing, brand, and other designers—on complex problems
• Be the voice of the user, and explore multiple ideas while also knowing when to bring the work to an executable deliverable
• Deliver innovative solutions which significantly improve user experience across products for your team
• Independently lead all aspects of the design process from conception to completion
• Articulate the value of design as well as the reasons for your design decisions clearly, in non-designer-speak, to Product and Engineering teammates as well as other important stakeholders
• Receive design feedback with professionalism and patience, and give clear and usable design feedback to design peers
• Actively contribute to the evolution and strengthening of our design system, including crafting components, auditing libraries, and ensuring quality in application of the system
• Facilitate workshops, design sprints, and other collaborative sessions for your team
• Uphold a high standard for design excellence, and contribute to raising the bar for design at the company

What you’ll bring:

• 8+ years working in design industry
• 3+ years of working in a product-led organization
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred 
• Portfolio which examples a strong design point of view and depth of experience, including user-centered design methodologies, interaction flows, prototyping, high-fidelity screens, and shipped products
• Experience delivering multiple projects with cross-disciplined teams
• Strong and clear communication skills
• Informed and strong opinions, loosely held
• A practitioner of user-centric processes and design thinking principles
• Mastery of design
• Exemplifies a We, Not Me attitude
