 SCHEDULE: 

  • Type: On-site (remote work unavailable) 
  • Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM– 3:30 PM ET or 7:30 AM ET – 2:30 PM ET 
  • Location: Manchester, NH

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:  

  • Assist with training and hiring of new staff into a program. 
  • Performs other duties as required. 
  • Knowledge of elementary school curriculum and concepts.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students. 
  • In person consultation on-site minimum 4x per month- required. 
  • Provides materials and curriculum that are engaging and age appropriate for students (K-6).
  • In person consultation on-site minimum 4x per month- required. 
  • Regular and predictable attendance and presence at respective center is an essential requirement of position. 
  • Provides learning experiences in the area of health and physical education guided by the NH state curriculum guidelines and district standards and requirements, while creating an environment that is conducive to a student’s learning and involvement.
  • Understanding of skill-based health and wellness-based instruction and education for children in the school setting K-6. 
  • Develops age and developmentally appropriate material in all aspects of health.  
  • Facilitate health lessons to teach skills necessary to provide understanding and appreciation of health and wellness 
  • Encourage positive choices and decision making when it comes to health and wellness. 
  • Collaborate with Special Education and teacher colleagues to review IEPs and ensure all accommodations are properly and consistently delivered
  • Contribute to school-wide initiatives and events which may be assigned by the principal
  • Adapt the Health curriculum and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students 
  • Well versed in state and national health standards.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time and work with remote and in person team members efficiently 
  • Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written skills and work cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups 
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Must be able to work effectively with patients and families of all ages and cultural backgrounds 
  • Ability to maintain customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions 
  • Adaptability to changing situations in a calm and professional manner 
  • Ability to handle confidential information (HIPPA compliant) 
  • Proven to thrive in administrative environments   
  • Positive and encouraging in disposition     
  • Ability to maintain organization standards in a high paced environment 

  

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum 2 years working in an office/clinical based setting
  • Previous experience in an Department of Education related position preferred 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and related computer software 
  • Ability to communicate effectively 
  • K-12 Health Education (Endorsement 0801) or K-12 Physical Education (Endorsement 0800)
  • Bachelor’s degree in health education or similar
  • NH state certification in Health Education is required 
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels (K-6)
  • A valid drivers license is required.
  • Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
