About this role
We are seeking a full-time quality engineer to join our engineering team, who will be responsible for developing and executing exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality of the highest order. The engineering team at Harappa is agile and small, and everyone gets an opportunity to have their hands-on multiple products and technologies, while simultaneously finding areas to focus on more closely over time.

What you will do
- Own all technical aspects of product quality assurance
- Create exhaustive and comprehensive list of test cases
- Typically spend 80% of time writing test case, testing, and their automation, and remainder of time collaborating with stakeholders on ongoing product/platform releases
- Analyze source code and work with development counterparts to propose appropriate test strategies
- Establish best practices including code structure, test architecture, and automation strategy
- Function as member of an agile team and help drive consistent QA practices
- Oversee ongoing refactoring of code and deliver continuous improvement
- Provide continuous support for ongoing application availability
- Identify opportunities to adopt innovative technologies and practices
- Develop deep understanding of tie-ins with other Harappa systems and platforms
What you will need
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related subject from a reputed institution
- 3+ years of experience of testing Web and Mobile applications built using HTML, CSS, JS, Angular, Node.js, Kotlin, and Swift
- Expert in debugging, benchmarking, optimization, and performance tuning
- Sound understanding of NoSQL databases
- Proficient in performing and automating unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing
- Proficient in code quality and security industry standard tools
- Expert understanding of overall design principles, common patterns, and interface guidelines
