Job Title:Intermediate Project Manager | US Government Buildings
Firm Description: Our client is an international firm providing professional and technical support services to public and private sector clients. Their expertise includes petrochemical, highway construction, and transportation design and facilities construction/maintenance. They use their extensive knowledge to restore and replace aging infrastructure across cities, countries, and continents. Recent projects include a new subway line in NYC, the world's largest green-field port development in Qatar, a 24-kilometer sea crossing in Malaysia and the expansion of LA International Airport.
Job Description: Intermediate PM to represent our client with the US Government Client Facilities Repair and Alterations team (US Government Client). This is an on-going, continuing project with the US Government Client. The intermediate PM can be an Architect or an Engineer to manage alteration projects primarily in the NY/NJ area. Projects can be minor cosmetic construction projects or major renovations. Although mostly working from the office, there may be weekly travel to the site. The PM will review the work, make sure alterations and renovations meet project specifications, will solicit bids to contractors, review proposals, make determinations as to how to proceed, awarding bids to noteworthy contractors, essentially selecting consulting firms to work on the many postal projects in the area. Projects can be building renovations, new floors, new windows, new bathrooms, etc. This is a TEMP-TO-PERM assignment.
Required: - 7 or more years of experience in Project Management or Construction Management
- Engineering or Architecture background
- Must be available to start by January 1st or sooner
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Valid drivers license
- Should not have recently left the country for any major length of time
- Basic computer knowledge; MS Office Suite, Project, PowerPoint, Excel
Education: Bachelor's in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
