Industrial Engineer I

Job Summary

The Industrial Engineer I will contribute to analyzing production processes and determining rates and efficiency improvements. In addition, this individual will support the creation and maintenance of master data, standard costs, routers, and other manufacturing data. Further, the Industrial Engineer I will support manufacturing improvements. The Industrial Engineer I is the first level within the Industrial Engineer career path.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to strategic improvement projects, in a multi-disciplinary organization, to obtain cost reductions and improved efficiencies, to achieve profitability targets
• Identify process gaps through direction from Manufacturing Operations Manager(s)
• Estimate production costs for new products, product changes, and development projects
• Identify products and/or processes where cost reductions might be realized
• Work with Engineering and Production to manage changes to RBU produced products

Must Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related subject
• General computer knowledge, and efficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with others
• Demonstrate initiative by understanding what actions need to be taken and completing the required tasks while seeking the perspective of others as required
• Demonstrate an honest and forthright presence by taking responsibility for own mistakes and not blaming others, and by doing what he / she commits to doing • Excellent analytical skills
• Work as a team player to make a difference within the business and express gratitude and appreciation to others who have provided information, assistance or support
• Readily handle change through taking advantage of lifelong learning opportunities and being open minded and curious in the face of new challenges
• Demonstrates problem solving skills

• Knowledge of Project Management tools and techniques
• Knowledge of SAP or other enterprise-wide management software is desirable
• Knowledge of corporate and industry standards

Essential Job Functions

• Must be willing to come into the office 5x a week.
• Must be able to travel by air
• Occasional overseas travel for extended periods as required
• Occasional Domestic Travel as required
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
