HEDIS Clinical Staff Consultant

One of Airetel Staffing's valued clients is looking for a HEDIS Clinical Staff Consultant t o join them remotely.

Job Description
This job works with appropriate departments in the areas of compliance and process improvement for all product lines. The incumbent reviews, researches and responds to clinical data relating to quality of medical care. Recommends and/or implements interventions related to the improvement of medical care and costs. Serves as a corporate resource regarding related accreditation standards including NCQA, CMS, URAC, etc., clinical performance and continuous improvement principles. Coordinates related accreditation activities on behalf of the organization. May perform: special studies or audits, practice guideline development and monitoring, network provider performance measurement and monitoring, activities to educate or influence the behavior of members and/or providers. Acts as subject matter expert for the corporation.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years relevant experience
• Must have experience reviewing medical records
• Associates degree in Nursing or related health care related
• Experience as a medical coder, LPN, or RN required
• Medical coding experience preferred
• Must have medical knowledge
• Must be familiar with EMR (electronic medical records)
• Some background in a medical office
• Extensive experience with HEDIS database entries and reporting
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Data entry
• Basic computer skills
