The Role – Senior Full Stack Engineer

The world’s approach to therapy and coaching is changing - social norms are shifting and stigma is being eradicated. At Unmind, we’re building a world class digital therapy and coaching platform that enables employees to talk to someone, no matter how big or small a challenge they may be facing.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer (frontend leaning) to join our Unmind Talk product teams - focusing on driving positive improvements to employee mental health & performance.

In this role, you’ll get to:

• Contribute and shape our mobile and web frontend standards - defining and promoting best practices to ensure accessible and engaging user experiences
• Identify lean solutions and support the team to find the right balance between technical excellence and shipping value to our users
• Own existing (and future!) user facing features and the technical systems that power them - ensuring core journeys are covered by monitoring, automated alerting and tests at the appropriate level

Skills and Experience

We encourage you to remove education from your CV upon application as qualifications are not a driving factor in our decision making and we are committed to tackling educational inequality. We firmly believe that no one is the finished article and that there should be learning in every role you do. However, the following is important for this position:

• Experience building web applications across the stack, with React, TypeScript, either Node or Golang and relational databases
• Deep understanding of frontend best practices in React (such as accessibility, performance optimisation and component-based architecture) to ensure high-quality user experiences across devices.
• Product-minded with a passion for delivering impactful solutions for our users and clients. You wield tech debt strategically in order to help the team ship quickly and make pragmatic tradeoffs.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity (we’re a startup after-all) - remaining open-minded despite uncertainty and viewing change as an exciting opportunity to learn and grow.
• Experience mentoring/coaching other Engineers.
