Sentoria's Exploration & Production Oil and Gas client located in Houston, TX is hiring a Director of Acquisitions & Divestitures who will be responsible for ownership of deals from sourcing through close. Business Development work requires collaboration with the A&D Evaluations, New Business Opportunities, Legal, and Finance teams.

Job Responsibilities:

Sourcing deals and Industry Intelligence
- Identify key stakeholders at target companies, developing the relationships necessary for originating and closing transactions
- Engage in continuous networking looking for the next potential transaction, be it acquisition, divestiture or strategic alliance
- Stay current on industry transactions / trends and metrics (relative to geographic location, oil/gas weighted, $/boe/mcfe, etc.)
- Represent the Company at various industry functions
- Primary external point of contact for all acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic initiatives
Acquisitions
- Identify relevant acquisition targets and initiate inquiry with key stakeholders
- Review and coordinate NDAs prior to screening deals and coordinate with sellers
- Review land/commercial info. identify items/issues that may impact the evaluation
- Coordinate, review, and assist in negotiation of PSA and all exhibits with legal
- Coordinate due diligence efforts across multi-disciplinary teams; serving as point of contact for all issues
- Assist with title due diligence and related issues. Negotiate with seller to resolve and satisfy
- Responsible for closing transactions in coordination with internal stakeholders
Divestitures
- Negotiate with prospective purchasers, qualify to determine closing ability and financial wherewithal
- Coordinate and assist with exhibit preparation
- PSA review, and/or all other conveyance documents
- Review land issues that may arise during due diligence
- Closing responsibilities and transaction implementation

Candidate Qualifications:

Ten (10) years minimum oil and gas business development and management experience with demonstrated track record of successful acquisitions and corporate development activities
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in business, finance, petroleum land management, or engineering. MBA, preferred
Established network of key stakeholders at relevant counterparties including major oil and gas companies
Relevant experience with wide variety of oil and gas transactions, negotiations, and financing structures
Ability to solve problems accurately and negotiate satisfactory solutions and compromises
Ability to channel competitive intelligence into transactions
