Sentoria's Exploration & Production client is hiring a Revenue Accountant in Houston, TX. The company is focused on the acquisition, exploration, and sustainable development of high-quality assets in the Permian Basin in West Texas. Job Responsibilities

Ongoing maintenance and ownership over the design and execution of processing monthly revenues, owner royalties, and additional transactions resulting from the entire life cycle of 3-stream production, processing, and sales
Develop efficient and scalable methods for the compilation and input of data, including monitoring and review activities that validate accuracy and emphasize timeliness
Document and effectively communicate to relevant third parties and internal functional roles any irregularities identified in source documentation or during the processing of the data in the system
Accumulate a high-proficiency over the design of the accounting system, along with an understanding of how other systems interface and the impact of how further enhancements to the accounting system benefit the revenue processes
Coordinate the reconciliation of the cash receipts utilizing system functionality and segregate the cash receipts, by purchaser, that are not associated with current-month recordings
Perform variance analysis, implement exception-based reports, and establish reasonableness thresholds that are concurrent with the trends observed in the processed data over specified periods
Provide management with feedback explaining the actual results of operations, fluctuations in actual activity compared to expectations, and unusual or infrequent transactions along with an explanation of the impact
Assist in the updating of inputs to various forecasting and accrual models by utilizing an understanding developed from comprehensive review and observance of ongoing changes in the actual data inputs each month
Cross-train key functional duties to be delegable to other revenue team members on pre-established timelines
Collaborate with revenue team members on establishing individual and team goals that align with functional goals communicated by accounting leadership

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred), Finance, or business-related discipline
3 5 years of U.S. (onshore) upstream Oil & Gas accounting
Working knowledge of Enertia, Procount , preferred
Regular collaboration with multiple functional groups of an organization including production, marketing, land/D.O., JIB, regulatory, internal auditors & external auditors, and executive leadership
Advanced understanding of utilizing Excel for data analysis
