Salary Range: $58,500 - $74,500, based on years of experience and educational degree
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday OR Tuesday through Friday
The Resource Recovery Center of Orange County is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to those suffering from Alcohol and Substance Use Disorders. Substance Use Disorders are chronic illnesses, and treatment provided is based upon the presenting needs of the individual. Our goal is to help individuals and families begin the physical, emotional and spiritual healing process by utilizing compassionate, encouraging and evidence-based practices. We ultimately strive to guide individuals, and their families, towards a goal of living life to its full potential-free from addiction.
JOB PURPOSE:
Counsel and aid individuals who have substance use disorders in a NY State OASAS certified Part 816 Medically Supervised Inpatient Detoxification program and/or Part 818 Inpatient Rehabilitation Program. Adhere to associated policies and procedures and regulatory standards. Assist with ensuring that standard of patient care is maintained; these standards are based in "best practice approaches”. Adhere to standards of organizational values, vision, mission, and service to the recovery community. All core duties and responsibilities are subject to periodic revision.
SCOPE OF INFLUENCE:
Provide individual case management and group counseling to adults with substance use diagnoses (and their families)
Partner with referral sources, providing regular updates and progress on clients.
Partner with multi-disciplinary team in assessing diagnoses, planning treatment, providing individual and group counseling services, and offering clinical insight and expertise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Clinical Services and Documentation (80%)
Provide caseload with weekly individual case management and counseling sessions consistent with the individualized treatment plan
Continuously assess appropriateness of current level of treatment, corresponding with LOCADTR and UR instruments.
Coordinate treatment and discharge planning services and with medical, mental health, and other service providers.
Arrange and participate in multidisciplinary interventions for clients and assess progress towards goals.
Provide skills-based workshops, psychoeducational and evidence-based group counseling to clients in the residential program.
Complete detailed progress notes, intake notes, psychosocial assessments, discharge plans, Treatment/Recovery Care Plans in conjunction with the client and multi-disciplinary team.
Maintain accurate and organized clinical charts to ensure compliance with OASAS and Managed Care standards.
Contact family contacts and referents upon admission and to coordinate care in treatment.
Under the supervision of a master’s level QHP, assist with the development of clinical treatment tracks that are diversified in language and culture that will meet the treatment and service needs of patients and families.
Complete incident reports based on established agency-wide protocol as directed.
Assist in the preparation of weekly case conference and case reviews.
Monitors client’s random toxicology testing.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Task supervision of Counselor Assistants
Attend staff meetings and trainings as required, as well as individual and group supervision.
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
CASAC, CASAC-T, LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or other related provisional or full QHP
One (1) year of related work experience
