Chemical Dependency Counselor

We are looking for a Chemical Dependency Counselor to join our team and provide counseling services to individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction. As a Chemical Dependency Counselor, you will work with clients to create personalized treatment plans, conduct group therapy sessions, and provide education on addiction and recovery. Your role will be crucial in helping individuals overcome their dependence on substances and lead healthier lives.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine the severity and nature of each client's addiction
• Create individualized treatment plans based on client's needs and goals
• Provide counseling and support to clients through one-on-one sessions and group therapy
• Facilitate counseling sessions for family members and loved ones of clients
• Educate clients on addiction, relapse prevention, and coping strategies
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and treatment centers to coordinate care for clients
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records and progress reports
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in addiction treatment

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Chemical Dependency Counselor or similar role
• Valid state license or certification in chemical dependency counseling
• In-depth knowledge of addiction and recovery principles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and nonjudgmental approach towards clients
